The Constitution of Afghanistan has included elements of cooperative movement in its articles 10 and 35, namely:
Article 10: The state shall encourage, protect as well as ensure the safety of capital investment and private enterprises in accordance with the provisions of the law and market economy
Article 35: To attain moral and material goals, the citizens of Afghanistan shall have the right to form associations in accordance with provisions of the law
