Korean Financial Supervisory Service issues advisory to fishing cooperative

The National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives has recently reported losses of around 50.1 billion won (37.5 million dollars). The NFFC is an umbrella organization that connects fishing cooperatives from around Korea. The organization made a series of risky international investments that have led to these losses. The FSS has stepped in to offer oversight to try and stabilize the finances of the NFFC.
