ILO Governing Body Decides its Agenda Will Include a Standard-Setting Discussion on Decent Work in the Platform Economy

Recognizing the prevailing shortcomings within the existing ILO standards, the Governing Body made a significant decision to incorporate a crucial topic onto the agenda of the International Labour Conferences scheduled for 2025 and 2026. The proposed subject of discussion pertains to establishing a standard framework for ensuring decent work within the platform economy. This initiative holds the potential to pave the way for the world's first global normative instrument in this area.
